ABOUT LITERACY VOLUNTEERS OF LAREDO
Turning Interest into Action
Here at Literacy Volunteers of Laredo, we see the value in everyone. We strive to provide confidential, student-centered instruction and assistance by trained volunteers, free resources to adults with limited reading, writing, and or limited English proficiency skills. Since our beginnings in 1986, we’ve been driven by the same ideas we initially founded our Non-Profit Organization upon: support, empowerment and progress.
Dealing with the challenges of today requires problem-solvers who bring different perspectives and are willing to take risks. Literacy Volunteers of Laredo emerged out of a pursuit to inspire and support the community, and a desire for actions to speak louder than words.
OUR MISSION
